Board Game Arena

Hello all,

i would love to see as an addition to tournaments and arena a league format with relegation and promotion.

There would be 1 first league, 2 second leagues, 4 third leagues and so on.
With lets say 10 player per league (maybe depending on total player number participating in the league)
2 get relegated and 1 is getting promoted (since the next lower league tier has twice the amount of leagues).

Format might depend on the game.
Probably most games will be played 1 vs.1.
So, one season would consist of each player playing against each other player (9 games per person, 90 games in total).

When you participate in the league you are automatically considered for all seasons until you get inactive or withdraw from the league (you could fill up open league spots with the next best placed player from the league(s) below).

I would love to see that format, because i think relegation and promotion will add an interesting component.

New players can join between seasons (starting in the lowest league) and than can play there way up to the top league.

showing that there is still a need for this!

Yes! And the great thing is: Registration to the Allround League is still open for 1 more week!

We have a promotion+relegation system quite similar to what you propose. And the great thing is: we have MANY games! But well - you need to learn a lot of them But if you like to try out new games and right away go into a nice and friendly competition then our league is the place for you

I would prefer Leagues per Game and to have it implemented in the official bga interface so that it will attract more people!

I think the League system would be by far better than the Arena system and a lot more exciting
