Has it occurred to you that there are other differences in those computers besides just the OS? I'm using Win7, and I'm sure a good number of other people are as well. While the connection is flakey sometimes, I don't think that's a Win7 thing, and it otherwise works just fine for me.
Of course, whatever version they sell in Rome might make a difference, but the point is that generally it is a good idea to give more information about your computer/devices, including the browser being used on them!! which is definitely going to make a difference, and what the problems are.

I Live in Milan (Italy) and BGA works great on IE11, on Windows 8.1 update1, on my Surface rt, on my xbox and also with my old pentium4 pc with Windows 8.1 update 1. So sure that is not your browser?
Remember that BGA need a full HTML5 browser.

I'm running Windows 7, Windows 8.1 (ITA) without any problem so far.
There is a big chance that the issue is related to the browser, specifically the kind of plug-in you've installed.
That being said, upgrade your flash player and every other plug in on your machine. Same for browser: update it.
Last non but not least, keep an eye on the latest GPU driver.
