It's allowed by the rules, as long as you don't use the same train token twice while counting the longest route.

Nashville - El Paso - Dallas - Houston - El Paso - Portland.
No loop because each red wagon on this trail is only counted once. It is ok that El Paso is twice on this track, this doesn´t count as a loop. The wagons are relevant.
