Does anyone else have a lot of people who just concede a game when they are losing?
I keep running into players who quit the games when they are losing, or have already lost.
One case was during Can't Stop and i had reached the top rung on my 3rd ladder and before i can claim it they just concede.
Other times when they are just far behind they just quit.
Do other people have problems with this or is it mostly limited to this game in particular?
Personally i find it very poor sportsmanship for someone to quit a game just because they might lose.

Conceding a game isn't quitting, it's admitting defeat.

Conceding when winning wouldn't be very smart...

And I find very poor sportmanship when my opponent continue a game pointlessly when it's clear he has lost, has no way to come back and so just to this to waste my time.
So why would I waste my opponent's time when it's clear as day that I have lost a game ?

Nah, if anything it's good sportsmanship to concede. No need to waste everyone's time when the game's over.

I don't really like it when people concede because it feels like an unearned victory. I know it isn't, because it's just as much a win as if the game had ended naturally, but to me it feels unearned. However, it doesn't affect the score or the elo or anything, so it's well within their rights to do so. Conceding shouldn't be confused with quitting.

I never concede a game even if I'm far behind and can't possibly win, because I find I can still learn something from it and maybe do better next time.

Yes, did so.
Played a lot of Magic the Gathering either in tournament or against friends.
Once someone has the game won, why bother continue instead of starting a fresh one.

Again, I'm not speaking of "I'm in a bad place, I have almost no chance to chance to come back".
I'm speaking of "I'm in a very bad place, whatever I do, I will lose"

There are many forms of gaming where it's borderline considered rude not to concede a dead lost position, such as chess with classical time controls and the player in the won position isn't under time pressure.

I don't like to have games end without being played out either - so either where a person gets booted or quits, or they concede - but I respect on all fronts that players are within their rights to do either. My main priority here is to actually play the games - I personally don't concede games, even if I am losing badly, I'd rather see it out. But other people have different priorities and feelings about it. I get the frustration - sometimes you feel like you're just getting started with your engine, or your strategy and then the game is pulled out from under you and it's disappointing, but sometimes just how it goes.
