Board Game Arena

My Avatar on the profile page looks perfect, yet in the upper right corner it is blurred.
I tried uploading the recommended size and also much higher resolution, but same result.

Why is this?

Probably because BGA takes a 50px version of the avatar and upscales it to whatever size you see.
