If a game is, for example, table # 754720726, does this indicate that a total of 754.720.726 games have been played since BGA? (Was table # 1 the first game played?)

If yes, then, when do we attain table # 1.000.000.000?

They usually don't start with #1 or #000000001.

But I really doubt we're approaching a trillion games. That would nearly 300 million games a day for 10 years.

BTW, I am now noticing that BGA doesn't have an English-language Wikipedia page. Seems like it should (not volunteering though).

I doubt we are, too. But we could be approaching the billion PhillipK asked about. However, the current pace of games did not exist before the pandemic, so even that more modest benchmark may be years away.

It might be closer to the number of tables created rather than games played. Many more tables are created and never started than games actually played.

The earliest game I could find is https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=99950 played in March 2011. Was that when BGA started? Or just when the current table-numbering system began?

Of the three players who participated in that “first game”, two are still active (within the last month) on BGA.
