Rules regarding being blocked for slipstreaming right before a corner?

Hey all, not reporting this as a bug yet because I might just not understand it and while I noted the slipstream “megathread” I couldn’t find this exact example in there.

So in a game, I landed one space before a corner (space 1). The space right before the corner (space 0) had one car on it (giving me slipstream), and the space immediately after the corner had two cars on it. I chose to slipstream, and because I was blocked by the two cars right after the corner, I landed on the space right before the corner. But on the corner check, it penalized me as if I had gone around the corner when I hadn’t ever actually landed there, just “in theory” that’s where I would have been, but it was blocked.

So naturally I spun out because I wasn’t expecting this, but I was wondering if this is correct? Do you pay the corner penalty if you would’ve slipstreamed around the corner but are blocked from doing so?

No, you shouldn't spin out, and I've seen this many times work correctly, so surprised to hear you saying you spun out in this scenario, do you have a screenshot?

Or better, a link to the game and the turn number when it happened.
