One thing we can all do is go to the Skull game page, click "Play," then click the bell icon. It will pop up a notification if someone starts a table that fits your filters. That feature is there for games with small player bases that they estimate it will take a long time to get started.

I’ve been hoping to play real time as well. I have been in a turn based for days. I do enjoy it, but I won’t know for sure unless I play real time. I have the bell on.

I'd be happy to join a real-time round of skulls.

I played this in real life and enjoyed it. Happy to play real time online as well.

I have ticked/toggled the alert bell as well on BGA.
