Suggestion: please take a look at the randomness of the dice rolls

There seems to be something going on with the randomness of the dice rolls. I was in a 5 player game and I had 12 show up on the roll and the reroll three turns in a row Everyone was rolling a lot of twelves. Also using the reroll seems to be suicide. The likelihood is you will roll a number you can't use and what seems to be a higher than average odds.

Each number has different odds of being rolled. Only one combination of 3 dice will result in an 18. That's why it's so rare. There are lots of combinations that could result in 9, 10, 11 and 12 so those numbers are rolled more frequently.
It's probability.

There’s nothing "going on with the randomness".
Your memory though played a few tricks on you. According to the replay log of your only game with 5 players 12 was rolled 3 times, twice by you. So just 2 of 5 players rolled at least one 12. The total number of 12s wasn’t even near 6 and there was only one instance of consecutive 12s (and not even on one turn). 6 12s in a row would be very unlikely anyway: (25/216)⁶ = 0,0000024. Or in other words: on average you’d be able to execute that feat once for roughly every 400k tries. Have fun rolling that often. ;-)

There were 81.392 Qwinto games played so far on BGA. I don't know the average number of rolls in a game, but it doesn't seem unlikely that someone already experienced six 12 in a row.

It is useful to look at distributions of random dice rolls https://www.statology.org/3-dice-probability-chart/. 10 and 11 and the most common, but 12 is just one rung down from that (probability 11.6% vs 12.5%). And groups of rolls that seem improbable is actually a feature of probability!

The rerrolling is part of what makes Qwinto fun. I'll try to get a better option always at the beginning of a game, but it can definitely bite you in the butt once you can't use every number. For instance, if you are rolling three dice and you've crossed off all 9,10, and 11s, you have almost a 50% chance of getting something unusable!

To me a different pattern shows up.
If i reroll, it's often the case that the second reroll shows the same number.

There's no way the dice rolls are random!!! What a bunch of bull! it's so frustrating to play games when it's so darn one sided!!!!

I have the same experience. Or it seems to get stuck in a loop of the same number. I played a have where I was out with less than half my board full. All I seemed to rolled was 11 (using 2 or 3 dice)

But then repeating number thing is insane. If the first roll is a fail, you can almost guarantee the second roll will be.

I dont if a bug exist but I was going to add a post for the same problematic.

The reroll more time than it should do roll the exact number !! And it happens a lot.
Seems the reroll action do not reset the RNG seed or something like that.

I just roll twice in a row (normal roll then reroll) a 17 !!! (6,6,5). The five was not the same color. But the probability are low... and with so much occurence, realy seems something is off with the reroll
