Help requested to ban a troll

Since a few days I am facing unbearable attitude from a player in CATAN game. He/she keeps offering completely insane trade offers (see snapshot below).
I hoped I could put the snapshot here but did not succeed. Just say that he asked to get 7 woods, 6 bricks, 85 wool, 6 grain and 6 rock for nothing !!!
I first refused, thinking of a (bad) joke, but this player keeps making this trade offer again and again (today is the fourth time the same offer has been made).

I tried to report through the regular process, but when I check the motive "player has a bad attitude" (or something close to that, I don't remember the exact wording), the only choice which is given looks like that : "just try to cope with this situation and give that player a red thumb so that you don't meet him/her again".

This is not solving anything as it appears that i am going to be trapped in that game with this troll as long as I do not leave the game myself, which will of course result in me receving a reputation penalty that i do not deserve.

Should I add that moderators have "limited this player access until 14 August 2298" !!!

Obviously he/she is however still able to roam completely free in BGA and harm us whenever he wants.

I think you can choose which trade offers you see. If you hide the trade offers of the troll then your time does not start after his offer and you are not affected (or less affected).

Thanks for your help, but this choice is not possible with parameters settings. I can only block him on his turn

I don't know the game, but if these are legal moves, I don't think there is technically grounds for banning. If these are not legal moves, you may need to put in a bug report to fix it.

You could try proposing a collective abandonment of the game, but that will require everyone to accept. If someone denies, the game will continue.

I don't know Catan at all - it sounds as though a player can make preposterous trade offers, which then puts the running clock on the other player? Which sounds like a highly abusable system.

But, again, I know zilch about the game.

You are largely correct, but other players have the ability to customize responses to trade offers. It looks like the OP has figured out how to ignore the troll's offers, and the game can proceed again.

Here is the snapshot I refered to above.

The troll is offering much more ressources than he effectively owns, which means he/she only wants to bother the other players.

And as can be seen too in this image, this is the 4th time he did so, and he made it again and again until I found the trick to block him : refuse trading with him this turn. But this is only a temporary fix and I have to refuse again each time his turn starts again.

I fear that we will have to go on that way until the end of the game.

I tried it, but the answer for reporting a player that "only" plays bad is "redthumb him so that you don't play with him anymore". Despite the fact that he/she seems known for trolling since a long time by many players. Plus moderators are supposed have limited his access to BGA, which I think the effect is null as he evidently is not prevented from doing what he wants.

He will of course deny, this solution will be inefficient

You are letting the troll win. You are getting frustrated and hurting your enjoyment of playing. Very simple solution. Quit the game. Immediately. Red thumb. Take 10 points rep hit. Yea that kinda gives him a win. But allows you to escape forever from him ..Get that back in a few games. And 90 will not keep you from finding a table.. thousands of Catan games going. Just join another one. Move on. Get back to enjoying playing

BGA can and should intervene here.

The in-game behavior of this obvious troll surely violates one more aspects of BGA's conduct policy.
