Premium account student option

Is there any option to get the premium account for cheaper? Not because I think the price is not fair (it is!), but because I am a student and money is tight. Any options for students or maybe a black Friday sale? Would especially love it for all the solo games :)

Not sure about reducing the price of a premium account. You can play games to get points towards a premium account and if you get enough points, it will cover a premium account.

You can get an equivalent of one month premium for trying 20 different games and winning for the first time in all of them. It's a good idea to check for any games you already know the rules (for example from real life) and play them on BGA at least once :) Whether you can keep the premium account by playing new games depends on what kind of games you like, if it's mostly short games with easy rules you can earn decent amount of points just by that. I joined BGA when I wanted to buy a game for a gift and wanted the opportunity to try the games I was considering. Two first month I had premium without any extra effort just because I couldn't decide :D

Translations are also good way to earn premium, just not fast - you need to wait a month without an edit for your translation to be accepted, then you get points. The strings to be translated are usually short, so 1 point for a translation is much better than it sounds.

You could get years of premium using this method alone. Yes, to sustain it you may eventually be forced to play games that are not really to your liking, but that's the price of "free."

Not to mention that you can actually play all games (except those that can only be played solo) for free, without a premium account.

Also, Christmas is approaching. Could be an idea for your wishlist maybe?
