Hello,
I am looking for help on how to configurate correctly a private tournament.
I created a private tournament yesterday to test the system. The tournament was set to start on Friday evening at 9pm and I had set fixed times for real-time games on saturday noon. However, 2 hours after the start of the tournaments on Friday 11pm, the tournament ended while no games was played. Can you identify what I have done wrong and how to set a tournment so that does not happen again?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Vincent

How did the tournament "start" on Friday if the first match was not until Saturday? Do you mean you opened registration on Friday? How many players registered?
What was the format (single-elimination, round robin, Swiss)? What was the game? How many players per table?
With questions like this you want to give as much information as possible, not decide you think you know what the problem might have been and only give details relating to that.

Post a direct URL link to what you're talking about if you want people to have a clue on how to help problem-solve. They can't help based on the vague description you've written.

If you don't get the minimum number of players to join, the tournament just ends without any games being played.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for replying so quickly to my uncomplete request. And sorry not to be complete in my first message.
Thank you FSKFSK, I think that this is what happened.
I set the tournament as a test, I did not change the minimum number of participants, and I think it was set to 4 by default.
I invited 2 persons in this private tournament just to test how things will work. If I could set defined date and time for the games, how the system will set the games, how the system will allocate the games to the pre-defines time slots, if participants will be notified at the start of their game, etc.
So I imagine that, without the minimum number of person, the tournament just ended 2 hours before its start as the system could not define the participants to each game.
To answer the other questions:
- Tournament time start was set manually on friday 9pm.
Registration was open when I created the Tournament on Friday afternoon.
2 persons registered
Swiss format
Game: Harmonies
2 players minimum per table, up to 4 players per table
It is not possible to post a url link to the Tournament as it is ended now. Or I cannot find how to retreive it. Maybe this link: https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=495491. But I do not know if you will be able to see anything on this page as the tournament is private.

We can all view it from that link. Yes, as above - you had 2 sign-ups. I imagine the minimum number needed was more-than-2 (the tournament pages don't show what the minimum was once a tournament has finished/started, but the default is 4 on the tournament-creation page)
