Child in candy shop

So although I've had my BGA account for a couple of years, I only began playing on BGA more seriously last Dec. I was mostly replaying a "handful" of familiar games. One day I realized, there's over 1K different games on BGA, I should really learn more new games. Which lead to a goal of learning more new games with a goal of playing one hundred different games on BGA. I achieved my goal of playing one hundred games on BGA.
Now I think my BGA experience seemed to have turned more into the saying of a "a child in candy store".
I keep discovering more new games that I want to try and learn. Sometimes I don't even finish learning new games now sometimes before I jump on to another new game to learn. On top of those 1k+ plus games I haven't yet discovered/ learned BGA keeps releasing more new games.
Anyone else relate to this?.

Yep. And don't even get me started on my pile of unplayed physical games.

My husband and I used to play regularly, maybe a couple of times a week. Then we had kids, and we just don't have the time and energy. Fortunately, my kids are starting to get to an age where they can play too (6 and 9), so we're getting a few more games in there, but it doesn't help with getting something like a Vital Lacerda game to the table.

Online gaming helps somewhat with that as we can play asynchronously, but my husband isn't very motivated to learn games on his own. Sometimes I will teach him for simple games, but I would rather he use the tutorials for the more complex ones, as he might pickup on rules I missed anyway. He also loves to read a rulebook in depth AFTER playing to see what rules we may have missed (and he's quite good at catching them, even if I am designated teacher in the family).

But board games as a whole are just such a growing market - there's always so many games I want to get to, but time is never enough. In all mediums.

There are at least 100 games on BGA that I want to play but haven't yet.

I want to play every game that is on BGA that is also in the top 300 or top 400 on Board game Geek.

The problem is, I also want to be Elo 300+ in every game I play (Or 500 if I realize I'm capable, or 700+ if I realize I'm capable).

But, yeah, the game selection here is awesome.

I have a less ambitious project to play everything in the Top 50 BGG that's on BGA that I haven't already played outside BGA. I'm playing Terra Mystica right now which is the second to last one. The one remaining one is The Crew: Mission Deep Sea. Pretty much the only reason I haven't crossed it off is because I've played the original and it doesn't seem like it's really a different game. But I will eventually cross it off the list.
