Action ribbon display

I noticed a change in the display today, what I'm calling the 'action ribbon' (the strip at the top of the screen) has started displaying notifications (e.g. 'sending move to server') in a new way: they flash up on the right of the ribbon & the height has to stretch. The notifications flash up too quickly to be legible, but I'm feeling a bit sea sick as the whole screen bounces every time I resolve an action
This is happening on my laptop & phone, and although I can't find any settings that I've changed, I suspect user error
Any tips for how to get my display to behave again?

Yes, really annoying, with the map moving permanently.
We will get sick playing!
Please, darhf, Victoria_La, your development was just brilliant before, revert this new feature!

I am a developer on a different game, and this behavior showed up without me changing anything.
It appears that a change was made on the BGA side (not by darhf / Victoria_La), which caused this as an unintended side effect. Hopefully it is fixed soon.

Same, quit out of a game because it was making me sick having my cards and the board constantly bounce up and down. I don't think I'm playing again until this is reverted back.

Our devoted developer has written code for Terraforming Mars to fix this. (For Terraforming Mars. Other games may still have this issue.)
