Board Game Arena

One issue that I don't understand on BGA is players who like to block newbie players and won't change their settings. If you want to block newbies that's your choice. However why not change the settings before starting games to avoid playing with newbies in the first place?. If you dislike playing with newbies this is such an easy fix.
Are players who are blocking newbies unaware that this is an option on BGA?.

Chances are the answer is yes. There are many functionalities available to players that they never explore because they simply click on default options presented to them.
