In this standalone CATAN experience, you and your fellow players must manage your society’s energy needs. It is the 21st century, and the agrarian society of your ancestors is long gone. Today, Catanians need energy to keep society growing - but pollution threatens the island.
 
You must decide: invest in clean energy resources, or opt for cheap- but potentially disastrous - fossil fuels?
 
New Energies is rooted in the classic CATAN mechanics of harvesting, trading, and building. It adds new gameplay elements such as power plants, energy tokens, and environmental events that can affect your game positively or negatively.

Fossil fuel production is available in New Energies and can sometimes be a viable strategy!

Everyone needs their brain washed every now and again… it gets dirty!

Not sure clean energy has a political affiliation. Or, it shouldn't. But here we are. Looks like an interesting game anyways !
