Board Game Arena

I set up a game and one of the players who joined is a bot. I would like to get out of this game, as I am here to play against people, not provide bot training services.

1. Is there a policy on bots?
2. How can I get out of the game?
3. How can I prevent bots from joining my games? Bots should be self identified clearly, and the site should enable not playing against them.

The only post I could find on this issue said to use a moderation report and not to name names here in the forums, but I didnt find a link to moderation reports.

As a side note, I think this is an issue that could really ruin online board games, which is why #3 is very important. I would like to disallow bots from joining my subsequent games, in a similar manner how one can filter for skill level and reputation when setting up games.

How do you know it's a bot ?

I didnt find a link to moderation reports.

On the player's profile page, the "Report this player" button is at the top.

Any human can choose a user name which includes "bot" in the name. The player you mentioned has played 30+ different games and thus cannot be a bot.

There have been single cases where somebody has programmed a bot that could play a single game autonomously (e.g. Azul). But this is not allowed by BGA rules.

I have to admit, "it's in the name" was definitely the reply I was expecting.

Hmm... I guess if you could also demand to get out of a game with a grand master, a superhero, a criminal, a flightless bird, a fictional detective, an extinct reptile... they're all in the name too, you know. It makes me wonder how many people have refused to play with me just because they think I'm an impossible object

I think the impossible object is their avatar. Of course, I have an unfair advantage in Nova Luna.
