Very restrictive as default setting not allowed

Under 'Play Now', if you go into advanced settings for a specific game and set the 'Very Restrictive' option, you get an error message indicating that the setting is not allowed. Why is that? I don't want to allow players with reputation just above 50. Tbh, I would like to restrict it to 95+.

Which game are you talking about? Maybe it's a bug?

All games. Whenever I use the setting, I get a red banner saying:

Unexpected error: Cannot set all values to Never for preference 296.

That's odd.

That error messages comes up if you have all settings for a particular group of settings set to "never". (for example, for fast turn based, if I select "I never want to play during the house of..." for all 24 of the options, it would give me that error message.

I have no issues setting "very restrictive" with regard to reputation.

Ok, that is strange then. I get it for all games, only for that particular setting. πŸ€”

And you have at least one of the reputation options set to "I'm okay with ,,," ?

The reputation setting doesn't work like that. There are only 4 options, and you can only select one. But I just get the error message.

I also wonder why 75% is the most strict setting. I frankly think that timing out one out of 4 games should get you kicked from the server. πŸ˜‚ In all seriousness, I don't want to invest a lot of time in a game where most likely somebody will time out.

Timing out in 1 out of 4 games will result in 0% karma, or at most 3%, right before you time out the 4th game :D

That’s really strange. I just tried to do that myself and got the exact same error message. Then I closed the dialogue and opened it again by clicking on the gear icon, and for whatever reason, it worked.

Your karma rating isn't the percentage of games you complete without getting kicked out, or else the karma of someone with 1,000s of completed games on BGA would not be so drastically affected by only being expelled a couple times. Also, it means that the karma of someone with 100s of completed games could never go to zero, but there are people who have hit zero karma. It isn't even the percentage of recent games that you've been completed.

Why they express it as a percentage is one of the mysteries of BGA. Yes, technically it is a percentage of the maximum it could be, but that's the only percentage it represents.
