At $36 for a full year, I think we're just getting the heavily discounted price all the time. It's hard to imagine how that little, from what is probably a pretty small proportion of users, is enough to support this site. If you really need a discount from that, you can play a lot of games here for free, with no limits on how often or how many you play - entirely for free.

And if you really need premium, you can get 1 month free by winning 20 different games for the first time.
