I am getting sick of players conceding with one move to go so that you dont get the benefit of a win. I think its childish and pathetic.

If they concede you get full benefit of a win.
So how about stop creating same topic as it was created hundreds if not thousands of times.
You can concede rules allow it live with it. I'm not oblige to wait for you to make your last move. Rules allows people to concede after 50%.
Again when someone c9ncedes you get full win.

Which is largely irrelevant because it is an entirely appropriate behaviour completely within the rules, both formal and informal, or normal competitive play.

This is a subjective matter, obviously.

I consider it bad sportsmanship to concede literally on the final turn, unless it is a game in which such an action is formally understood to be common practice (such as chess).

Opinions will vary, but it not wrong for the OP to find this behavior to be in poor sportsmanship.

I would love to have an option on tables I create that disables the ability to concede. It really ruins the game for me when someone concedes, and I've spent days going through much of a game only to never see how things turn out at the end because the game gets cut off early. I hate the feature, and usually red thumb anyone who concedes so that I won't have to play with them again, but it would be much better if the site just let me play on no-concede tables only. Let the conceders play with each other and not with me.

Just to present the counterpoint (which I STRONGLY disagree with) -

some people have said, "Well, Why should I waste 60 seconds of my time so you can ego-stroke yourself to see how badly you beat me"?

Which really is a moronic statement. There are any number of reasons for wanting to see the final game state that have nothing to do with "ego-stroking".

And, the same stupid argument could be made in reverse:
"SO, your fragile ego cannot handle seeing the end-game screen just because the game didn't go as you hoped?"

It's nonsense, and conceding (especially literally right at the final move) means the stats do not get logged, which means less information for players to learn from. It means a player who is still figuring out the game cannot see whether he scored the expected number of points. Etc.

It's really not a burden to expect people to be reasonable and finish the game.

And the excuses I've heard just sound like *. To me it just reeks of poor sportsmanship, the equivalent of flipping over the table or gameboard in a real-life game after losing.

Yes. But why wait until the final move? Why not just finish the game, log the stats (which are helpful to all players who wish to view them), Allow the opponent to see the final game position to analyze or study, etc? I already explained all this in multiple posts. What is the confusion?
