Repeatedly create the same tournament?

Hello everyone,
is there a function where you can repeatedly create the same tournament for example every four weeks without entering all the information again?
If not, wouldn't that be a good idea?
Thanks!

At present there's no way to do that. I'm not sure whether you're asking that a new tournament would
automatically be created every four weeks without any further involvement of the tournament creator (which would be problematic, in my opinion), or do you mean that you should be able to create a new tournament where, with one or two clicks the settings (other than start time) can be populated according to a previous tournament, as proposed here:

If I want to create a tournament, with identical settings, "every 2 weeks (or whenever) until my premium membership expires", there's no reason to not support this. It isn't that much effort to implement.

I personally would like this for my own tournaments, but I try to think more broadly than just what would benefit me. There are some tournaments that are absolutely horribly configured and I do not think it would be a good thing to make it even easier to churn them out.

Then add a rule "must get at least 30 signups or it's cancelled", to weed out the awful ones.

Just to clarify what we're talking about here and in the previous thread (
viewtopic.php?t=42455), the way I envision it working is you could use your prior tournament as a template for a new one. It's not that all settings would
necessarily be the same as last time, but with one or two clicks you could populate the tournament creation form with your settings from last time, and then you could tweak them if you like, before clicking Submit.
I take Meeplelowda's point that this would make it easy to create "bad" tournaments as well as good ones, but I think on balance the proposal would still be beneficial.
I don't like the idea that a tournament needs a minimum of 30 signups; for one thing it would make round-robin tournaments impossible since they have a maximum of 15 entrants. And even aside from that, I create and play in numerous tournaments with fewer than 30 entrants, even fewer than 15, and there's nothing wrong with those tournaments.

That's not what I'm talking about. I don't want to weed out small tournaments. I'm talking about tournaments that result in a group stage with 12-person round robins for a game that needs 50+ moves per person in each game and the round time is set to one day.
Just because a lot of people sign up for them doesn't mean the configuration isn't horrible. I'm not in the "buyer beware" camp that says they should have looked more closely at the settings. These terrible settings could turn people off tournaments because they just assume all tournaments are all like that.

It should be so the system used to recognise previous tournament names. So if I pick "Heat Degens World Cup" it remembers the settings I used last time. I suspect a lot of the tournaments using the exact same settings over and over are like Season 1, Season 2 etc. It definitely would help from a convenience stand point, particularly because I don't know if it's like this for most games, but for example in Heat you have to change nearly every setting, and most tournaments are doing this, because the defaults are Beginner mode, 1 track with everything turned off, but hardly anyone would create a tournament with those settings.

Then you can use a different criteria, such as, if a lot of people time out, then the tournament isn't auto-recreated.
Since tournaments are a "paying customer feature", things should be as easy as possible for tournament organizers.
I actually do strongly believe in "look at tournament settings before you join", and I won't join tournaments that have settings I don't like.
If someone keeps creating stupid tournaments, there should be an option to filter out tournaments created by that person (i.e. a tournament red thumb).
