Why is Arena Mode 6 Players instead of 7?

I was curious as to why 6 players has been the setting for Bang arena mode for so many seasons in a row now. I have played a good amount of games and outlaws clearly have the edge at this player count. 7 players is more balanced for the teams and it adds intrigue becasue even the deptuy doesn't know for sure who the other deputy is.

idk, everytime i play with 7 players, it was unbelievable imbalanced. If there was 2 renegades - it could be fun, but 2 deputies+sheriff +rene.
Bandits just can`t do anything, and after that - what could rene do? Just lose every time )))
I dont know the statistics, how many times rene wins in 7 players game, but i think that chance is so small, so we could just throw rene role away.
And game becomes more simple - Sheriff with +1 hp and immunity to Jail with 2 friends just shoot out 3 other guys.

I guess this just shows everyone has different experiences with the game. I have found that outlaws win far more in 7 player than the sheriff and deputies win in 6 player. I can't argue with the renegade being weaker though. His job is just tough in every player count basically. I actually would even prefer 5 player to 6 to be honest. I feel the game works best when teams start even with renegade in middle.

looks like most of players who play bang in arena prefers playing with 6 players
and I think that the game is made to be balanced with any number of players (4, 5, 6, 7) it depends what cards players draw or how play renegade so sheriff and vice can win with 6 players as outlaws can win with 7 players
