I saw a profile with a happy new year badge. Can someone tell me how to get this?.

Badges and such seem to almost exclusively operate by BGA time, which is Paris time. Since it is no longer Jan 1 there, I suspect you’ll have to wait until next year.

I got my Happy New Year badge so long ago I don’t remember what triggered it but I'd expect it to be something really simple, like just logging in. Were you active on the site at all between between 00:00 on Jan 1 in Paris (just about 27 hours ago as I’m typing this) and 00:00 on Jan 2 (just about 3 hours ago)?

Or … you already have it. I checked your profile and you got it last year. It only seems to be the one badge, so you don’t get it every year. Just the once.

Did you see my second response? You got it last year. You’re not getting it again. It’s just the one badge, you don’t get a new one every year.

It’s on your profile, dated last year (for me it says Dec 31 2024 but I suspect it’s adjusted for time zone and it may say Jan 1 2025 for you). It’s a 1-point badge and badges are sorted by point value so it’s near the bottom of your BGA site badges.
