Hey guys,

I am playing AN for a long while now. I usually need about 30-36 turn per game depending on whatever happens. Some days ago I have played my by far fastest game. I took only 27 turns (see Screenshot). I was really impressed by myself :) So, I want to know if somebody knows what the fastest known 2 player game in AN was. Also I am intereted to know what your experiences is how long a gama takes. What is fast for you, what is normal, what is slow? I am really looking forward to hear your experience.

Best regards,
Haze

Winners ' average is around 33 turns, so that's kind of the bar for how fast or slow the game was. Top players average around 29 or 30, sometimes even faster if it's a smurf account with not a lot of games played. Record is 20 for a 2p game. My own is 23 I think. You can always accelerate the game by breaking aggressively, but it's obviously not always beneficial for you to do so if the opponent can keep up or even outpace you. It's always a tactical decision whether you want to stay in a round or get out of it. How much money/workers do you have left? Free enclosures? Cards to discard/keep? Good sponsors to play? Endgames to accrue or satisfy? Clear path to crossing? Turns left after breaking? All of it and more is a factor.

There were two of them to my knowledge. First one was played by hardtounderstand (I think) on research institute. It involved marketing sponsors action card, baboon rock with primates as base project (I think), Amazon house, and an eagle. Opponent conceded before the last turn. Maybe someone has a link to the table. Second one, you're in luck, it was reviewed by sorryimlikethis here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h8fS1uPYSDg

Edit: here's a table link for the first game https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=686783795

Marine Worlds games seem to dominate this spreadsheet. Is this usual that the expansion elevates the score or is it simply because the best players switched to playing with MW enabled?

I would say MW did enable marginally better pace. Some action cards are particularly good for tempo, and animal universities give more options and synergy. Maybe others can point out some other factors.

To help with pacing, I'd quite to know what the turn and/or break number is but neither the log nor the interface seem to provide this information. Is it only in the endgame stats?
