Suggestion for variant: Re-rolls

I would love to see the option to add in 1, 2 and 3 re-rolls in the game.
In my suggestion these should only be able to use on gear dice, not the black event dice.

Just so you know: BGA is not adding any variants unless its approved by the developer/producer. So you have to contact the company to have it added.

The Nitro Fuel Injection option accomplishes something similar so IMO re-rolls are not needed.

Rerolls are not needed. You have brakes, clutch, and other WP which offset rerolls. It would be so much easier with rerolls. Risk and gain, or fail spectacularly.

The first response is the only response that matters: alternate rulesets are never added unless they are official variants from the publisher.

If you buy a physical board game, you are free to do what you want with the physical pieces. The publisher can’t stop you from using their pieces as Monopoly tokens if that’s what you want to do. Go nuts.

But if you are implementing a software version of somebody else’s intellectual property, you pretty much have to do what they say; you don’t get to change the rules willy-nilly. There are legal and contractual issues at play here and it’s just not going to happen. Period.

I can only assume the publisher okayed the use of those tracks. Ditto for the rule variations mentioned in the wiki.

Perhaps I shouldn’t say never. But the similarity of this to the already extant “nitro” option makes it very unlikely nonetheless.

Have you at least filed a “bug” (suggestion) for this? Not much use discussing it here. Nobody who makes these decisions is paying any attention.
