Playing Map 11.I have over two conservation points,two universities,and I have just built my second partner zoo.So I should have been offered my third upgrade when I did that, but I wasn't.Map 11 is in Alpha - anything I missed before I file a bug report ?

Doesn't Map 11 give only 1 upgrade when getting 1 univ + 1 zoo, and the other as a support bonus (vs. the usual 1 for 2 univ, 1 for 2 zoos)?

I''m having trouble finding the Map 11 rules link,but when I read it initially,I believe it said you get one upgrade after building your first University and your first partner zoo,and a second after building your second university and your second partner zoo [plus the usual ones for two conservation points and five reputation]. There''s also some way of getting a 5th upgrade.Nowhere did I read anything about it being harder generally to get upgrades from partner zoos and universities.

I haven't read the rules, I just interpret the image:

It seems to me there one upgrade linking 1st univ and 1st zoo (I assume you need both), and one upgrade as a bonus on the left. No second upgrade on the right. (Oh yes, and another upgrade for the 2nd worker, I missed that.)

Ok,thanks ! Yes,the arrows just confused me,and I missed the fact that there was only one upgrade icon on the right.Because I couldn't understand what conditions I had to fulfill to get that icon.

The text appears to contradict the map.It says you receive the first upgrade reward as soon as you get one partner zoo and one university,and the second as soon as you get to two partner zoos and two universities !

It says you get your first REWARD with uni + partner zoo, and second REWARD with second uni + partner zoo.
It doesnt specify UPGRADE reward.
Since on the new maps, the reward you get can also be another effect ( extra shift, take back worker from the board)

Thanks.The problem is,it uses 'reward' as a substitute for card upgrade the first time.It then uses reward to mean something else the second time - only since it hasn't mentioned what the something else might be,and it was talking about upgrades the first time,it is easy to suppose that it is still talking about upgrades.
The temporary extra worker that I got was of no use to me.I needed the upgrade.

The picture associated with that text shows two card upgrades, so it makes sense with that discussion. The picture in map 11 above shows one upgrade and one worker shift.

When I first looked at the map,I got really put off by the arrows,because I couldn't work out what they meant.So then I went searching for expansion rules to help me.The problem with the text is that it starts off well by explaining that you need one partner zoo and one university for your first upgrade.Only then,it sort of abandons you in a confusing manner.The narrator seems to assume that you are looking at the relevant map and its icons at the same time as you are reading the text.Since I wasn''t,I wound up getting misled.
