Time penalties - How does it work ?

Hi ! Thanks to all BGA people !

I get numerous (little) time penalties as I was a beginner, and now my time statistics are very bad. I would like to know if there is any chance that those statistics could get better, as I'm most of the time a quick player now. The words "on recent games", where the number of outtimed games is noticed, seem to say so, but how it works exactly ? How long is a outtimed game taken in count ?
Thanks for any answer.

I believe it is on a rolling 60-day calendar. So, any time outs you got should disappear 60 days from when you got it. I'm not exactly sure on that -- it could be 30 or 90 days, but I'm pretty sure it's 60.

Be aware that during this time, you may not get as many opponents as you would like -- time mismanagement is one of the few metrics shown as players join tables, and people tend to stay away from those that have a high percentage of overtimes.

As a side note, you might consider setting the table to slow speed when learning a game, to give yourself more time. Another trick is to set the table as a turn-based game, but then play it in real-time. However, this should only be done if all players agree before the game starts, as it would be within someone's rights to stop playing for up to 12 hours. Generally slow speed real-time does allow enough time to examine one's options when unfamiliar with the game, though.

Exactly, they last 2 months.
So Linuk in the moment I'm writing you have 3 timeouts for games played 59 days ago (all 3 takenoko's tables), tomorrow you should have 3 less timeouts in your total timeouts.
