Why did the developers add this card to the game? All other cards and mechanics in the game are symmetrical and do not create direct conflicts between players, which corresponds to the theme of the game. However, the queen was created solely to interfere with a particular player. It would be less bad if you could choose a target, then it could be used to interfere with the strongest player (although in this case, in my opinion, it does not correspond to the spirit of the game and can create a kindmaking situations)

But the queen is even worse, she doesn't allow you to choose a target, but instead hits a "random" player. What did he do to deserve it? If a player winning, he at least expects resistance and getting with this card would not be so annoying. But in 2\3 cases (in a 4p games ,1/2 in 3p games), a player who has been hit did not deserve it in any way and could not avoid it in any way.

In addition, the card itself is bad and the player who plays it usually does not receive anything useful.

I completely agree with you. The designer absolutely can foresee the hate on this card. It doesn’t fit a serious Euro game as it appears to be, but he still insisted on it. Why? Because he has the right to spread his bad taste with his work.

One way to improve the card could be, changing the target to the player with the most VPs.
