Board Game Arena

It is incredibly dumb how many times a 7 is rolled as soon as a player has 8 or more resource cards. It happened to me 3 times in the last game that I played. There should be a maximum number of times that a 7 is rolled when one or more players have 8 or more resource cards. A maximum of one time per player game would make the games so much more fun. I detest this aspect of BGA Catan games. Please reprogram it. Please fix it. Please do something.

They need to reprogram it in real life first.

You mean your box didn’t have the special 30-sided die in it, with the same distribution as 2d6 but all the 7s removed, to be used in this exact situation? That’s wild, you should complain to the publisher.

I misread that line as saying it had happened in the last three games you played, oops. So I looked at the last five games you had played as of the time of this post, and found it only happened to you in two of them. And in one of those two instances, it did only happened to you once, so your suggestion here wouldn’t have helped.

Of course, in the other game it did happen to you four times in one game (which actually wasn’t the last game you’d played. That game was the singleton). You might consider not hoarding resources?

Or you might consider posting this in a more appropriate place. This forum is for discussing (not proposing) suggestions about the BGA site as a whole and not any particular game. There is a forum, below, for each game on the site, and actually proposing suggestions (confusingly) goes under Bugs.(It’s actually a whole ticketing system so people can discuss each issue and keep track of progress on it, etc.)

Be prepared, though—if you actually make this suggestion, I think you’ll find you’ll be laughed at.

Why not both?

I played a game where 12 rolled an incredible number of time and more than once twice in a row.
Another game where 10 rolled 3 times in a row.
People would get crazy here!
