Timing of trading in turn-based game.

I've in the middle of a good game at the moment, but have a query over the timing of trading. I've offered a trade on my turn. One of my opponents has declined the trade. Im still waiting on a response from the other player. Yet BGA is still counting down the clock on my turn. I would have thought that once I've suggested a trade the clock should stop until all other players have responded?

Or am I misunderstanding this?

There are settings in the game to adjust when you are notified of trades. I think one of your opponents may have configured their settings so that they weren't notified of your trade, so their clock is not running down. I haven't played in a while, so I'm not sure if they might still have the ability to accept your trade if they come back to the game, but I would treat it as a refusal since it is your clock running down.

Ah, yes that could explain it. Bit of a pain though. Can't really just ignore a trade if sitting round a table playing, but here it can just be left hanging. Have withdrawn the trade offer and moved on...

If I understand the UI correctly, the screen will show an empty box for someone who hasn't responded, but if someone has notifications turned off and is effectively trading only on their turn, then the screen will show the one offer/decline and no empty space signalling that everyone interested has responded.

Ah, I think you're right - there wasn't a box.
