Other players don’t play, I hit the button to stop the game and says I won’t get penalized — but I do EVERY time. No one to reach. Just happened again now. Thankz!

Whenever it looks like someone else is not playing, always refresh the screen first to make sure it is not actually your turn. This is a known display error that occurs periodically and unfortunately there's no way to tell 100% whether that's what's happening in the moment.

One clue that it might be happening is if someone was regularly making moves, then all of a sudden seems to disappear.

Or you could wait for them. It’s not like it’s costing you anything, if the game is turn based.

I always find it rude when someone reaches out because I haven’t played within the first few days a game has started. Luckily, I tell them that this is just what works for me and we usually end up on good terms.

What makes you say you were penalised in the game that happened "just now" (about 2 hours ago by now)? I can't see you've taken a quit/boot penalty in a game since about 3 days ago.
