I totally support this suggestion.
I really lack the possibility to reach all group members either through the chat or by notifications for new posts.
It definitely would make group events much easier and motivate, at least me, group admin to arrange more events.

Yes! This. I agree. I made a group thinking the chat would make it easier to reach all members, but they don,t get notified and don't see it unless they check it.

I know group messages used to notify/open message boxes during real time games. I’m assuming this feature was turned off to prevent cheating but if direct messages still work during real time games, you can still cheat anyway. I wish we could revert back so group messages work during real time games again. If you’re playing with friends vs a random, it’s better to speak about irrelevant topics in a group chat vs spamming the regular game chat and potentially being blocked.

If these changes can’t be reverted, at least leave the group chat window open so that after the real time game is over you can see the messages just like how direct messages are if you miss them while clicking real time or turn based games
