It could be faster if picking cards were simultaneous for all players. Then the program would choose who play first.

I think what you describe doesn't match whith the official rules. Indeed, the interest relies on the fact to see how many cards the previous players have choosen to play.

Yes you are right, I had forgotten about it because I don't use it most of the time, but perhaps it's useful for good players.
