I lost a game but am unable to play anything else as I still seem to be in the game despite being eliminated?

I had the same exact issue yesterday.
Usually I've been able to leave game as soon as I was eliminated and be able to join other games while the poker game was still ongoing.
This time I couldn't join any other games or create a table, saying that I had a still active game going on, but when I re-joined the game and tried to quit, an info prompted up saying, that I'd get a reputation penalty for leaving the active game so I didn't.

I had to wait around 15 minutes for the game to be over, luckily it was only a 4 player game but what if it was 7 or 8 player game where I'd be the first to be eliminated, having to wait for over half and hour or more in order to join new games?

Just been eliminated and can't do anything till the poker finishes
