Here’s what that weekend looks like in practice.

It’s four days where Terra Mystica becomes the only thing happening in the room.

The World Open runs across multiple days, with open qualifiers and a final table on Sunday. There are side tournaments. There are strategy sessions that go deep into auctions, openings, maps, and decision theory. There are scheduled blocks where you can show up and get a game in.

But that’s only part of it.

A shared game library stacked with Terra Mystica, Gaia Project, Age of Innovation, Terra Nova, fan maps, fan factions. Open tables running constantly.Post-game analysis over a beer. Players meeting face-to-face after years of playing online.

The room stays full. The conversations don’t really stop.

It’s competitive. It’s social. It’s focused. It’s relaxed. It’s the one weekend of the year where everyone in the room understands exactly why this game matters.

After a brilliant first two years, I took one year out and had huge FOMO. I simply couldn't face the FOMO again, so I will be there. It is such a fantastic event. There are lots of photos in the Discord so you can get an idea of what it is like. Come and enjoy a brilliant game, with lots of friendly people of all skill levels.
