To the best of my knowledge, "if a player has a king, they MAY place a king in the corner spots" is the rule.

The word "may" signifies that it's optional.

Answer: people who play this game. Which is a very small number of the people on this site. And yet you posted this in the discussion forum for the whole site when there is a perfectly good forum for this specific game. Please use it.

Not only that, but their second post specifically names players and the implication is that they are cheaters because of the thread title, which is a no no. I see someone already reported it.

This will be particularly egregious if it actually turns out that the OP just doesn't understand the rules as Suoivax suggests.

I always forget there are little kids on this site…

It’s a site with 1200 games. I don’t know a whole lot about which games are popular or not, but I do know the chances of any game being played by even 10% of the players are pretty slim. That’s why they have their own forums.
