Turn based games that delay showing up

How come this keeps happening?. I click on my profile to check on turn based games. it will show for instance that it is my turn in three turn based games for instance. I click on one of these games to play my turn, but suddenly now it says for instance that it's actually my turn in twenty more turn based games. When I first checked my profile, none of these games were showing up until I played my turn in one of these games that did show up.
