Hi,
I don't knwo where to put it else, but why does someone has fun in ultimate ragebait. So unsportive, so unfair. Even if you try to have still some fun and keep things in perspective, it's really a waist of time... and it seems that you can't do anything about it, except a red thumb... or can you do something else?

Without pointing a finger at a specific user (which is forbidden in these forums), can you say what you mean by “ultimate ragebait”? Are we just talking about people saying mean things, or what?

I was playing Catan, for no reason 1 of the players starts to block me without a reason. He didn't say anything, I didn't do anything to him. First time we played together. He collected a lot of knights and there were a lot of 7's in the game. Everytime he used it on me, even when I was 2 or 3 points behind the rest (played with 3). Even he blocked me with a knight when I didn't have any cards at all. Later he started even to block hishelf because I had 2 towns on it to get me upset or so. I asked him kindly, I used humour, but it didn't stop. It was the 3th player who even called it ultimate ragebait, because I didn't even know the word before or saw a game played like this. I couldn't play any descent move... really weird, but no fun playing a game like that.

Ugh…I don’t mind defensive play, but I agree. It’s not fun, nor competitive when the defense blocks without contributing to your plan. This happens in TTR all the time, folks will throw down rando trains to block your routes and no intention of connecting to their own route. What really makes me mad is that these people have an ELO of >600 and I think, is this how you have to play to progress?

You might be joking, but there are people who actually believe that you shouldn't block in Ticket to Ride. So it can be hard to tell when there are people actually posting that garbage to be serious, or whether they're rage-baiting, to use the phrase in the title of the thread. Poe's Law in effect I guess.
Obviously it's nonsense, one moment they're accusing it of not contributing to a plan, while simultaneously saying it's winning. Which is it, they need to make up their mind, lol. There are so many posts that have debunked it, so I guess when you do see it out there it might just be best to ignore it, or if you want to make fun of it and move on. If you think they're serious and need mental help, you can link them to one of those threads that debunk it. In the end, many of them do know better, that blocking is just a normal part of the game. Don't let the toxic anti-blockers succeed when they try to ruin games of Ticket to Ride and things usually end up ok.
