Q re: build over rock/water action card

Hello,
I had a game recently in which I wanted to play the Ibex. There was a section of 2 rock. I had the Build card with the ability to build over 1 rock. I tried building the 2-size enclosure on one of the rocks, and touching the other, and found that when I did so, the enclosure did not count as touching 2 rocks. I am just wondering if that is intended, or is a bug. I guess in my "real world" brain, it seems obvious that the enclosure would be partially ON a rock and then also touching another. But if the intended game mechanic is that building on the rock removes/covers the rock, then it worked correctly. Does anyone know which one is the case?

Thanks!

In general, in Ark Nova what you see is what you get. Just like there's no "memory" of which animal goes with which enclosure, there's also no memory of what was printed on a given hex after you cover it. Once you build it, the enclosure is only touching one rock.

OK, thanks! That does make sense especially for consistency with other rules, as you pointed out (what you see is what you get). I'll try to remember that as a general rule.
