Heat Pedal to the metal

Hi, I have a question about the game rules. The rules clearly state that slipstream doesn't count toward corner speed. Why does the Heat transfer to BGA take slipstream into account?

Thank You

This is a common rules confusion, explained in detail in this post on the Heat forum.

In short, slipstream doesn't increase your speed, but it also doesn't protect you from corner checks; if you enter a NEW corner via slipstream, you still have to check that corner.

I've played a lot of games of Heat on BGA and have never had slipstream add to my corner speed. Not sure what happened in your game, but have to assume something else is going on. Maybe you are confusing "boost" or "adrenaline" with "slipstream"?

As Meamer says, if you've already entered the corner on your move, slipstream doesn't add to corner speed. However, if slipstream causes you to enter a corner, then you have to do a corner check with your whole speed including the slipstream.

Also, next time, try the Heat forum, not the general forum. You're lucky enough to get a few Heat players on here to answer you, but the game-specific forums are where you're more likely to get answers from people who play.

Just to combat misunderstandings, that last part isnt right.

If you slipstream into a corner you still only use your speed NOT adding any slipstream.

OK, yeah, I could be wrong about that, and that would make sense. Thanks for the correction! I'm only a fairly casual Heat player - as I said, the OP would be more likely to get better responses in the Heat forum than the general one.
