Toy Battle Strategy

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for advice on strategies to use in Toys Battles, but I have to admit that so far, I haven't found much. In short:
  • Don't place skeletons near your home base, otherwise you can get caught by one or two soldiers UNLESS you protet them with stronger unit. The only exception is the volcano map, because on this map, you should avoid placing a skeleton next to the volcano.
  • Start by placing 5 (one less card for your opponent) or 6 (one more for me) near your base.
  • Aim for the stars is a better strategy than the path
  • Never run out of troops, unless you're aiming for the final blow.
  • Region control is better for Station Metyal X and for City of Clouds [HelloWorld87164]
Do you have any other tips?
EDIT : I will update this first post with the tip that people will add gradually

Placing skeletons close to your base is better on most boards than outwards since they will be protected by an outer layer of higher numbered troops. As for leaks, I don’t know why you would ever place them if not on top of an opponent’s troop or to win. Region control is better for some maps (Station Metal X, City of Clouds), but it isn’t always the best strategy. I agree that it is important to never run out of troops, as it gives your opponent more power. There are more detailed strategies for each board, but mainly what you said is what you should be doing.

The more aggressive player usually wins because the other person is left reacting.
When there isnt a threat or opportunity you want to keep your hand topped up

I only play casually (hence my 85% win rate) but this is pretty much the exact opposite of my basic strategy.
