Hello,
I seem to be limited in the number of replays per day I can watch, even though I’m a premium member. Is that normal?

I'm sure I've heard someone mention this before, but I've never seen it myself. Are you watching an unusually high amount of replays (let's say more than about 5-10 per day)? Does the limit go away the following day (may need to wait til after midnight site time, which is Paris time)?

I think this is the thread I remember seeing: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=227414. It mentions two other threads, one of which suggests a limit of around 20-30 (as a guess), the other seems to suggest 80 (also as a bit of a guess). So I guess yes, normal, and my two questions above possibly apply (in other words, if you're not watching a high amount and your access doesn't return within 24 hours, then it's possibly a bug).

I know I've viewed a large number of game replays in one day. At least 70. Maybe more.

100 a day limit I think.

I've read there is a low limit for new players on this website, but increasing with the games you have played. I've found it myself to be true, but I don't know the details.

Did they silently greatly decrease the limit, and is it different for non-premium players? After several years on the site (mostly non-premium), I ran into the replay limit for the first time yesterday, after watching just a few Forest Shuffle Smoky Mountains replays. I checked now to see if the replay has reset, but it hasn't.

Honestly, I don't understand why there has to be a limit at all, it only feels suuuuuper annoying. Or, if there really needs to be a limit, then I wish they more apparent about it. Starting with informing the users that there even is a limit; informing how many replays left until the limit is reached; and informing when the limit is reset (if it even is at all). Or is it just a new gimmick to get players to get Premium, done in the shadows?

The premium features are listed here https://boardgamearena.com/premium?src=globalmenu, and watching replays isn't one of them.

How do you know that you ran into the replay limit? Was there a notification, and if so, what was it? Have you checked replays of other games as well?

If you think this was not only a temporary glitch, I suggest you open a bug report for the website https://boardgamearena.com/bugs and add all this information to allow investigation.

After I clicked the "Watch game replay" -button, a pop up message appeared that only read that "You've reached a limit". It's less than the bare minimum of information, and a complete surprise out of the blue. I checked to see if the limit was game-specific, but nope: it would appear that I'm locked out of all replays - and for how long, who even knows. One thing is for sure though, I'm not going to buy Premium because this total lack of transparency isn't something I'd be happy to support with money.

Seems like a bug with your account. Replays shouldn't be unavailable for more than a day.

I tried again now that the day is new, and this time it let me watch the replay. Don't know what was going on but yes, it seems like my account was bugged for a while for whatever reason.
