I have an impression there were some more players at top, even above 900 rank... do you remind of anybody? I reviewed top50 rand and nothing ring any bell, I think someone removed BGA account so it dissapeared entirely.

You drop from the Elo ranking if you have not played the game for 3 months. If I played one game and won it, I would be on top again. I guess it's the same for the other "gurus" who could potentially be in the top spots.

jame even had a 1100 Elo rating at one point in time, probably the highest ever achieved.
