new arena season

So, I assume all new arena seasons will have random map, right?
Is there anything for people who like play on Tharsis only?
Anything, except not to play arena anymore
I understand that it add more variability, I guess more fun and in total makes champion more "true", but there are people who want also to play arena, but on Tharsis
Nah, I guess nothing will be changed, just writing to tell I also want to play Arena, but on Tharsis map only

Honestly, I'd like old Arena back with 3P Mars. Like, we have a normal ELO board cluttered with 2P-only players, why do we need a parallel system doing the same thing?

I think it would have been nice to do colony this season. We probably can see some really cool plays, if there are consistent winners for 3p arena, I am pretty sure Colony Arena would have performed the same just with lower arena points comparing to 2p Prelude Arena Tharsis/Random.
We just did Random Map Prelude, why do it again? Feels like a waste.

The Arena system is whatever the gurus vote for. Often, it will be the same.
I love Colonies and hate preludes, but my impression is that high-level players don't consider colonies a serious expansion, unfortunately. Too many wonky overpowered cards.

Variety is the spice of life.
If you dislike the non-Tharsis maps, thankfully there are still plenty of non-Arena options.

Thank god we don't have Venus, hopefully never. Can you imagine how miserable it is to play Venus for a whole arena season? At least colony is fun.

so is the new season active? the time has elapsed, but the 'current season' post is still describing the situation from the previous season.

It is, probably just didn't update that text
The format is the same, most likely because 1) random maps are awesome, props to the TFM BGA devs for adding it and 2) Colonies is not well balanced
There was a vote to disallow Prelude corps (not Preludes themselves), but it did not pass
