Preset auction price request

Hi,

I would like the option to preset the price I want to set for an auction.
One player at a time asynchronously is very slow.

Thanks.

Hi,
thanks for playing goa !

I don't think setting a price before your turn is important because you only have 1 bid turn for each bidding phase, and you may need to know what others bidded before deciding which amount you want to overbid or not. (While money is hidden, your turn is never auto skipped in order to let you place a bid or pass).

I think Aurore12 meant something like that Smart Bid system in Tulip and Rose, where you have the option to pre-set your maximum bid (you automatically pass if the previous bidder matches or exceeds your maximum). You can also choose to either auto outbid by 1, or jump to your max bid. Of course, it's just an option so you can choose to be prompted to bid every single turn if you prefer. Maybe another option could be set where you're prompted to reconsider the bid if the preset maximum is exceeded

I wonder why BGA hasn't encouraged and facilitated developers to make this the standard auction method, as it greatly speeds up turnbased play. Even with just 1 bid turn per auction, half the game is auctions anyway so perhaps the Devs could see game logs and calculate how much is taken by bidding (which I suspect is the majority)
