How are we liking the snake opening? I love it! Besides new cards, this is the best thing to happen to Agricola.

I like it as well. But I'm not an expert player, so my opinion is probably not that valuable. And I only have a few games with this variant under my belt. There's a thread on BGG about this variant, if you go the forums of Agricola revised edition.

I don't even know what that is.

You can find it in the Agricola game settings.
"Each player starts with 3 food. In round 1, each player's second person is played in reverse turn order."

I think it is quite positive for dealing with the overall balance issues. It does prevent some overpowered openings by the first player(ex. Rsf and canvas sack/job contract). I like it!

I am not a fan. But would instead like to see the option that the player going 3rd (last) in 3 player games gets to start with 1 additional food. Going first and having 3 food just feels like it's making the game even more unbalanced, in 2-player games there is no drawback to snake as SP. WIther you get Occ+SP or Occ+1reed (in 95% or cases) but now you just get that with the added benefit och 1 food.

Love it. Don't think I will play if it's not turned on.

My only complaint right now is the card "Store of Experience". Because you always have the same number of Occs in hand, it seems a silly card for this format.

I don't understand. What does this have to do with the snake opening?
