Hi There,

I love BGA, but I have a problem and I am not sure how to handle it.
I keep the Jewish Sabbath, which means from Friday nighfall to Saturday Nightfall I don't use the computer.
Practically it works out to be at least 26 hours.
That means when I am in a tournament with a linited number of hours, I lose 26 hours thinking time.
And life is involved
So I have a lost a few games. because the clock ended.

The time time jokers don't help.

Any suggestions on a work around?

For tournaments, I can't see anything that will help except joining tournaments with more time. I guess making sure the tournament is configured so that players can't be skipped could help a bit, as well. Good luck!

It's commendable that you take some time offline. However when you decide to join a tournament, you know well in advance what kind of engagement is required. If you decide to join the tournament while you are well aware you cannot do it within a reasonable time - regardless of the reason - it is considered disrespectful to the other participants.
Ofcourse, unforeseen circumstances can occur, but the Sabbath is not unforeseen.

You are asking how to break the agreement of the tournament and get away with it.

You are unsure how to handle it you say, perhaps not joining any tournaments that cause conflict with your faith?
