Can we get a faster mode for games. Since people can always opt out of them but the fast mode in most games feels dreadfully slow.

Do you mean something like each player only has a few hours to finish the game? (so if a game starts in the morning, you know for sure it will be over by the evening)

I agree that this is something that is missing from the site. Real time and turn based offer very different purposes and there is no middle ground between the two. Right now there is nothing that feels similar to the pace of a Chess tournament for example. It's either you are supposed to stay in front of your game and play fast, or you have the ability to walk away and come back hours or days later.

I was referring to real time games especially games that restore time for each individual action rather than the entirety of a turn.

No, they meant fast games, not games you can take a nap and the game is still ongoing when you finish.

They're basically asking for something like this to actually exist.

Problem is the site and interface is just too slow and unstable for truly fast clocks.

You can't do speed chess if it might take 5 seconds each turn for a player to see it's their turn.
