New Decay system for 7 wonders

Hello BGA team,

As active competitive players on 7 Wonders, many of us feel that the current ranking system could greatly benefit from a rating decay feature for inactive top-ranked players.

Right now, some players achieve a very high ELO and then stop playing entirely, while still occupying the top leaderboard positions for months or even years. This situation can discourage active competitive players who continue grinding games every day.

A decay system would help keep the ladder alive, dynamic, and truly representative of the current strongest active players. It would also encourage top players to remain active within the community.

Many successful competitive platforms already use this approach, and we believe it would improve both fairness and long-term engagement on BGA.

Thank you for your attention and for continuing to support the competitive 7 Wonders community!

Players are supposed to be hidden from the board if they haven’t played in, I think 60 days. If you can show that somebody is on the board and has not played for years, that would be worthy of a bug report.

Well, for years it was just an expression. In reality, playing only one game per month when you're in the top 10 is totally abnormal.
