Board Game Arena

Developers have seen a large number of recent false reports from players who choose a challenge card at the beginning of the game, then ignored the log reminding them of why they couldn't achieve a victory yet.

If you look at the log, it tells you exactly why you couldn't win yet (e.g., "Victory is prevented by Higher Standards"). There's also a bright red message about this, and only this, when anyone files a new bug report.
